The 2026 Chevrolet Bolt is a subcompact electric hatchback with a four-door body style that provides cargo space and maneuverability for urban use. Vehicles in comparison include the Nissan Leaf, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Kia Niro EV. For this model year, it uses General Motors' BEV2 platform in a redesign, with architecture shared with the Equinox EV but configured for lower cost. The front-wheel-drive powertrain consists of a single 210-horsepower motor and a 65-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate Ultium battery, offering an EPA-estimated 262 miles of range and 150-kW DC fast charging via a native NACS port.

The infotainment system features Google built-in on an 11.3-inch center touchscreen and an 11-inch digital driver display, with Google Maps navigation, "Hey Google" voice commands, connected apps, personalized profiles, and SiriusXM streaming. It does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. More than 20 driver assistance features come standard, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist, along with available Super Cruise for hands-free driving on mapped roads. The myChevrolet app enables remote preconditioning, charging status monitoring, and service alerts, while over-the-air updates maintain the system, though some options like extended Super Cruise require subscriptions.
