The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox is a five-door compact crossover SUV that seats five passengers for use in daily commutes, school runs, and weekend errands. It competes with models such as the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson, which offer comparable space, efficiency, and features in the compact SUV segment. Introduced with a full redesign for 2025, the 2026 version includes a new Polar White paint option and changes to roof rail availability in certain packages, while retaining the grille, taillamps, and interior layout on LT, RS, and ACTIV trims. The standard powertrain features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 175 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, paired with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. The available all-wheel-drive system uses an eight-speed automatic transmission and provides 203 pound-feet of torque.

The infotainment system centers on an 11.3-inch diagonal touchscreen with Google built-in, supporting voice-activated Google Assistant for handling calls, music, navigation with Google Maps, and access to Google Play apps. It also includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 11-inch customizable digital driver display. A Drive Mode Selector dial is now standard on all trims, enabling switches between Eco, Normal, Sport, and other modes from the center console, in addition to more than 15 driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. The myChevrolet app provides remote engine start, fuel level checks, door locks, and over-the-air updates for software and features.
