2026 Ford E-450

The 2026 Ford E-450 is a heavy-duty commercial cutaway chassis in the full-size van segment. It uses an incomplete cab-forward body style designed for upfitting into configurations such as passenger shuttles, box trucks, cargo vans, utility service bodies, or RV conversions. Fleet operators, shuttle services, paratransit providers, and upfitters consider it alongside competitors including the Chevrolet Express 4500 Cutaway and GMC Savana 4500 Cutaway. For the 2026 model year, it continues the E-Series platform, which originated more than 30 years ago, with changes including an updated instrument cluster and interior layout. The standard powertrain features a rear-wheel-drive 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine rated at 325 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, mated to a TorqShift six-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission suited for towing and payload capacities.

The infotainment includes an AM/FM radio, Bluetooth for phone calls and audio streaming, auxiliary inputs, USB ports, and two speakers. It does not feature SYNC 4 or a large touchscreen, which provides flexibility for upfitters to install custom systems through the factory Vehicle Integration System. The 2026 model retains its gasoline powertrain without additions like expanded screens, advanced driver assistance systems, or electrification options. Ford Pro Telematics offers subscription-based services for vehicle health monitoring, maintenance notifications, and service planning via an app, though over-the-air updates are not available.
