2026 Ford Expedition

The 2026 Ford Expedition is a full-size body-on-frame three-row SUV with seating for up to eight passengers, cargo space behind the third row, and a maximum towing capacity of 9,600 pounds when properly equipped. Vehicles in the same segment include the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Toyota Sequoia, which provide similar capacity for passengers and trailers or boats. The 2026 model carries over the mid-cycle refresh introduced in 2025, including exterior updates such as the split power liftgate, interior revisions, and general refinements. Power comes from a standard twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive; four-wheel drive is optional on most trims. A high-output version of the engine is available on select models.

The infotainment system is the Ford Digital Experience, displayed on a 24-inch panoramic instrument panel and 13.2-inch center touchscreen with Google built-in supporting Maps, Assistant, and Play Store apps, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa integration. The Ford Connectivity Package includes a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, in-car streaming for music and video, and video conferencing functions. The 2026 Expedition retains the prior year's digital instrument cluster, menu design, and driver-assistance technologies like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. FordPass app connectivity allows remote start, lock/unlock, location tracking, and vehicle health reports, supported by over-the-air updates and subscription extensions for services beyond the trial period.
