The 2026 GMC Canyon is a crew cab midsize pickup truck equipped with a 5-foot bed. It offers a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds and competes with the Chevrolet Colorado, which shares its platform, the Toyota Tacoma, and the Ford Ranger. For 2026, the Canyon carries over from the 2023 redesign with minor updates including new wheels on select trims, an AT4X AEV off-road edition, and a Coastal Dune exterior color option. All models feature a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four TurboMax engine producing 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive as standard, while four-wheel drive is available or standard depending on the trim.

The infotainment system uses Google Built-in via an 11.3-inch center touchscreen and an 11-inch digital driver display, which include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, customizable gauges, over-the-air navigation with real-time traffic, and Google Assistant voice control. Bose premium audio is available. The vehicle offers advanced driver assistance features such as Super Cruise hands-free driving on compatible roads, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and parking assistance. The myGMC mobile app supports remote preconditioning, vehicle location tracking, and service alerts, along with over-the-air software updates and optional OnStar connectivity, in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot, and remote diagnostics.
