The 2026 Lexus ES is a midsize luxury sedan with a four-door body style, competing in the segment with the Genesis G80, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6. It features a complete redesign on a revised TNGA GA-K platform with a three-inch longer wheelbase that provides additional rear legroom and a more spacious cabin. All powertrains are electrified, with no V6 option available. The ES 350h hybrid pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors for 244 net combined system horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, using an eCVT transmission in front-wheel-drive or optional all-wheel-drive configurations. Battery-electric options include the front-wheel-drive ES 350e and all-wheel-drive ES 500e.

The infotainment system is the Lexus Interface with a 14-inch touchscreen, an increase from the prior 12.3-inch unit, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, split-screen functionality, dual Bluetooth pairing, and an improved voice assistant. Updates for 2026 feature enhanced software responsiveness and cloud connectivity, along with the introduction of the ES 350e and 500e battery-electric models that include an integrated Drive Recorder. The Lexus app enables remote functions such as start, climate control, and status monitoring. Over-the-air updates provide infotainment improvements, map updates, and system enhancements without requiring a dealer visit.
