The 2026 Nissan Frontier is a midsize body-on-frame pickup truck available in King Cab or Crew Cab body styles, paired with either a standard five-foot bed or a six-foot bed. It competes directly with models such as the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, and Ford Ranger based on towing capacity, off-road features, and on-road practicality. Introduced as the third-generation design in 2022, the 2026 model includes updates like new wheel designs, standard LED headlights across the lineup, a new Dark Armor appearance package, and minor interior changes including updated seat materials. The powertrain consists of a 3.8-liter V6 engine rated at 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes on base models, while part-time four-wheel drive is offered on many configurations.

NissanConnect infotainment is standard with an eight-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot and voice recognition for calls, media, and navigation. Select higher trims provide a larger 12.3-inch display. For 2026, a new drive mode selector dial offers five options—Rock, Sand, Mud, On-Road, and Hill Descent Control—to adjust vehicle responses for different conditions. The MyNISSAN app enables remote functions like door lock/unlock, trip logs, and maintenance alerts. NissanConnect Services subscription includes features such as automatic collision notification, roadside assistance, and over-the-air software updates through Wi-Fi.
