The 2026 Subaru Ascent is a midsize three-row SUV with unibody construction, available in seven- or eight-passenger configurations. It competes with models such as the Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride. The 2026 model receives a mid-cycle refresh that includes a revised trim lineup starting with the Premium and extending to Limited, Limited Bronze Edition, Touring, and Onyx Edition Touring variants, along with updated interior materials, new wheel designs, and minor exterior styling adjustments. All trims are equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter boxer four-cylinder engine producing 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

The Subaru Multimedia System centers on a standard 11.6-inch high-resolution vertical touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and built-in Wi-Fi capability. TomTom-powered voice navigation is standard on Limited and higher trims. Cabin Connect, which enables driver communication to rear passengers via rear speakers, is available on Limited and above, as is the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System that recognizes up to five drivers and recalls their preferences. EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard across the lineup, including adaptive cruise control with lane centering and available automatic emergency steering. The mySubaru app provides remote engine start, climate preconditioning, vehicle location, and automatic collision notification, with connected services for SOS calls and maintenance scheduling; certain advanced features may require subscriptions.
